Anyone having problems registering on the website using hotmail, yahoo or msn mail may want to try using a valid real email over a free one. I have most registration emails sent back to me by the server from these free email account systems. Alot of the time the user of the free account can correct this by emptying their email on these services as once your email quota has been met it refuses to allow new emails to be received. Best fix for this is using a valid real email from your isp to register for the website and use the free email service as your visible email.

Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 1.7 Patch Released |
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare version 1.7 patch was released this afternoon and all servers we host have been patched with this new release that fixes several frustrating bugs that were included with the 1.6 patch. The patch in total is 38.1 megs and is available by direct download on the cpgaming.com forums. Of course you must first be registered for our forums to see the downloads we have available.

Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 1.6 Patch Released |
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare version 1.6 patch was released this evening and all servers we host have been patched with this new release that fixes several bugs and also includes 4 new stock maps. The patch in total is 282 megs (pretty large for a patch) and is available by direct download on the cpgaming.com forums. Of course you must first be registered for our forums to see the downloads we have available.

Forums Converted From SMF to Vbulletin System |
I decided that the Simple Machine Forums which worked very well, were not as feature rich as Vbulletin forums are so i've converted the forums over to vbulletin and after some extensive testing with them, I've made them live and emailed all the forums users. The conversion went great although passwords have to be reset by users for you to be able to properly join into the forums again. So take a few minutes, stop by the forums and reset your account password and you'll be able to read and post again properly. This will be the last conversion of the forums system for a long time as i'm very happy with the vbulletin system. I hope that everyone is as happy with them as I am. I do plan on properly skinning them soon but that's not a priority for me, they work very well so other then changing the site header on them I don't plan on doing any major theme work immediately.

New Forums |
I've set up new forums and moved all of the user accounts and posts over to them. The forums link at the top of the website will take you to the new forums. All accounts have to have their passwords sent to them now though as part of the security of the new forums includes verification that the account holder is a person and not a automated spam bot. So to re-activate your forums account you need to go to the login link and then follow the instructions to have the forums mail you your new password. Anyone having any problems with getting revalidated on the new forums should contact me at support [at] cpgmaing [dot] com

Security Hole found in Supporters Module-Block in Nuke Evolution |

As you might know by now the main Evo site has been offline for almost 2 days now. As some of you know by now it was caused by a hacker. He managed to delete the entire site. That plus some communication problems due to the Easter holliday have made the restore a bit slow going. I don't see the site being back up until Monday. I am sorry for any problems that might cause but I want to make sure that everything is working and safe.
Lets all thank djcom13 from Puerto Rico for the nice job he did deleting the site . If you happen to be reading this, remember that pay back is a bitch.
I guess that a good thing to come from this is he exposed a hole that seems to have gone unreported in the Supporters module. So if you are using it please disable it. I will work on repairing it on Monday.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl Servers Coming |
The groundbreaking multiplayer game STALKER made by GSC Game World and published by THQ with support for 2 up to 32 players online is coming to Capital Punishment Gaming. Starting on Monday, March 25th 2007 we should have our first servers online and ready for rental. I've spent a good portion of this afternoon compiling the list of server options for making the initial server config and launch lines. And everything is going very smoothly i've had test servers running on and off at various points today and will continue with the testing and load stress tests thruout the weekend as time permits and we will be ready to roll out the first servers by Monday morning.

50 Games Supported |
Recently I've been going thru the games available for hosting online and adding more (some old some new) game engines that we have hosted and can host for our clients to our online shop. At this point I've built up the catalog to 49 games that we can host that are available for rentals. When you get a chance take a look and see the games available now. I'll continue to finish this project off in my spare time as i've not even come close to the full number of games that Capital Punishment Gaming is capable of hosting!
